Agrippina formerly a student at Amazing Love School, pursued her O-level education at Kisiki College in Namutumba District. As the prefect (student leader) of games and sports, she showcased her leadership skills. Agrippina expresses enduring gratitude to Amazing Love School for laying the foundation of her education and extends wishes for the longevity of its directors.
Emmanuel who once attended Amazing Love School, completed his O-level education at Kibaale High School and continued to excel in his A-level studies there. His parents take pride in his accomplishments and are actively seeking support for his forthcoming university education. Emmanuel fondly recalls Amazing Love School as the bedrock of his educational journey.
Damali has successfully completed her O-level education and is currently employed at a boutique in Kampala. She actively supports her parents and attributes her ability to effectively communicate with customers to the strong foundation in English that she received at Amazing Love School. She expresses gratitude for the valuable skills acquired there, which have contributed to her professional success.
Prossy, a former student of Amazing Love School, is currently in Senior Three at Iganga Parent Secondary School. She occupies several leadership positions, including Prefect of the Debating Club, Speaker advocating for children's rights, and Music Director of the Scripture Union. Prossy credits her academic achievements, including a Division One at the primary level, to the strong educational groundwork laid by Amazing Love School.
Amazing Geniuses - Robotics
Our robotics team is composed of ten students aged 11-14 and two teachers who have proven themselves as champions in the field of robotics.
In our March 2023 newsletter, we shared the news of our inaugural triumph, as ten students emerged victorious in a regional robotics competition in Jinja City. Despite the novelty of these skills, our students quickly grasped the concepts and demonstrated exceptional talents and unwavering dedication. Their victory not only brought home accolades but also embodied the resilient and excellent spirit that defines our school community.
The Robotics team secured two trophies in 2023, setting the stage for their future triumphs. In 2024, our students once again showcased their prowess at the URL Robotics Championship, winning the 2024 Line Follower Championship title!
ALDO’s Robotics program is a dynamic platform that equips students with essential skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making. This program serves as the fertile ground where our students nurture their passion for robotics and unleash their potential for greatness.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Just Cause Education Outreach for introducing our students to the captivating world of robotics. Over two days, they imparted invaluable knowledge on assembling and programming robots using coding. We also express our gratitude to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and the entire school community for their unwavering encouragement and belief in our students' potential.
As we celebrate our triumphs, ALDO remains committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and leaders. Together, we will continue to surpass expectations, push boundaries, and inspire greatness in all our endeavors. Amazing Sportsboys And Girls
ALDO’s commitment to holistic education extends beyond the classroom to the playing field. We take great pride in nurturing not only the minds but also the bodies of our students through active participation in games and sports.
Our students eagerly participate in competitions for elementary schools within the district, showcasing their talents in under 14 and under 12 soccer for both boys and girls, as well as netball for girls. Time and again, our children have emerged triumphant, demonstrating their skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship in zonal tournaments.
However, our journey is not without its challenges. One significant obstacle we face is the lack of dedicated sports fields for both girls and boys. As the interest in games and sports among our students and community continues to grow, our students find themselves competing with the community for access to the existing fields. This not only hampers their ability to practice and play but also affects the quality of their sporting experiences. Furthermore, the shortage of sports equipment exacerbates the situation. Our students must share balls, limiting their engagement and hindering the development of their athletic abilities.
We recognize the invaluable role that sports play in the holistic development of our students. Beyond mere pleasure, sports provide opportunities for physical exercise, character building, leadership development, and fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. Therefore, we appeal for support in securing dedicated sports fields equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment. With access to proper facilities, our students will not only be able to fully enjoy their sporting pursuits but also reap the myriad benefits that sports offer.
Together, let us invest in the future of our students by providing them with the resources they need to thrive both academically and athletically.
