D.   Develop School Infrastructure

Engaging in school development is an effective way of helping hundreds of children in impoverished communities get a decent start in life. With an anticipated increase in the number of children at the Amazing Love School, We have been growing the school with more structures to accommodate effective and practical learning.

a)  Completed Infrastructure

1. Classrooms: We constructed nine classrooms, a 2-classroom library, one staffroom, and one robotics room.
2. Accommodation units: We constructed ten one-unit rooms for single teachers. We are currently renting some units for the rest of the teachers.
3. Dormitories: We constructed two dormitories. One for girls and another for boys. There is a waiting list for girls’ space.
4. A dining hall can accommodate up to 100 students. It has a kitchen and a small storage space.
5. A Canteen: This canteen caters to boarding students, staff members, and the local community.
6. Daycare: This daycare responded to female teachers' challenge of looking after their children. Many of them would take their children to class during lesson time.

b)  Planned Infrastructure

1. Dormitories: Several children are waiting to join the boarding section. We need two additional dorms, one for girls and one for boys.
2. Additional Teachers' Quarters: ALDO would like to build family accommodation units.
3. New Kindergarten School: ALDO requires a more age-appropriate kindergarten infrastructure, furniture, and resources to teach the growing number of children properly. The number of applicants to the village kindergarten went up from 46 children in 2006 to over 120. Yet, the open hall can accommodate only 70 children.
4. Public Storage Facility: The community needs an appropriate food facility for drying, storage, transportation, and processing. There are no suitable storage facilities in the community.
5. Skills Workshop: To cater to community children who still need to join high school or college.
6. Structures for animals: As we grow the farm, we need to construct additional structures to cater to increases in the goats and rabbits.
